Pay rules control how NestedClock calculates payroll — overtime thresholds, weekend penalties, public holiday rates, superannuation, and PAYG tax estimation.

Steps

  1. Go to Payments → Pay Rules tab.
  2. Configure each section: Break Deduction, Clock Rounding, Overtime, Super, Weekend Penalties, Public Holidays, PAYG.
  3. Changes save automatically to the server (shared across all admins).

Key Settings

  • Break Deduction: None, Cap at 30 min, or Actual break taken.
  • Overtime: Daily threshold (e.g., 7.6h) and weekly threshold (e.g., 38h). Multiplier (e.g., 1.5×).
  • Super: Toggle on/off, set rate (default 12%).
  • Weekend Penalties: Saturday and Sunday multipliers.
  • Public Holidays: State-aware (based on shop's state). Multiplier (e.g., 2.5×).
  • PAYG Tax: Optional estimate using ATO 2025-26 tables. Shows estimated withholding — not a replacement for your accountant.
