Delete Your Account

How to permanently delete your NestedClock account and data.

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Deletion is permanent after 14 days

Deleting your account removes all of your business's data and cancels your subscription. You have a 14-day grace period to cancel and keep everything before it is permanently erased. As an employer you may need to keep time and wages records for 7 years under the Fair Work Act — export your own copy before deleting.

1

How to delete your account

Only the account owner (admin) can delete the account. Staff and manager logins, and anyone signed in under "Act As", cannot delete it. You can do this at any time, from the web app or the mobile app:

  1. Sign in as the account owner (admin).
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. In the Delete Account section, tap Delete my account.
  4. Type your business name to confirm, then confirm again.

Your account is then scheduled for deletion and you are signed out.

2

Important: export your records first

Deletion permanently erases your time and wages records from NestedClock. As an employer, you may be legally required to keep time and wages records for 7 years under the Australian Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). That obligation rests with you as the employer — not with NestedClock — and it continues even after you delete your account.

Before you delete, export and securely keep your own copy of any records you may need, including time entries, rosters, pay/rate data and payslips. Once the grace period below ends, we cannot recover this data for you.

If you only want to stop paying, you can cancel your subscription instead of deleting. Cancellation reverts you to the Free plan and keeps your data (see our Refund Policy). Deletion is different: it removes everything.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes all data associated with your business, including:

  • Your account, login and profile
  • All shops and their settings
  • All staff members and their logins
  • All time entries, breaks, rosters and payroll/rate data
  • All clock-in/out verification photos
  • All staff messages, leave, mileage and related records

Every staff and manager login attached to your business is also removed, and they will immediately lose access. Any active subscription is cancelled at the same time — no refund is given for the unused part of your current billing period (see our Refund Policy). We do not sell your data, and nothing is retained for marketing.

4

14-day grace period (you can change your mind)

To protect against accidental or unauthorised deletion, your data is not erased immediately. Your account is marked for deletion and permanently erased after 14 days.

During those 14 days you can cancel the deletion and keep everything: simply sign back in, go to Settings → Account, and tap Keep my account. After the 14 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

5

Can't sign in?

If you can no longer access your account, email us at support@nestedclock.com.au from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will verify your identity and process the request.

6

Data retention

After deletion we remove or de-identify your data within 30 days, except where we are required or permitted to retain limited records for legal compliance (including Fair Work Act record-keeping obligations), dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security or accounting purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
