How do audit logs work?

Track every change made to staff, rosters, and settings.

Plans:
ProfessionalBusiness
For:Admin

Audit logs record every significant action taken in your NestedClock account, giving you a complete trail of who did what and when.

What's logged

  • Staff changes — creation, edits, role changes, deletion
  • Roster changes — shifts created, edited, or deleted (including by AI Agent)
  • Leave actions — requests submitted, approved, rejected, deleted
  • Time adjustments — manual edits to clock times with admin notes
  • AI Agent actions — every shift created through the Agent, with full audit details
  • Settings changes — alert thresholds, shop configuration, feature toggles

Where you see it

The trail surfaces right where each change happens, so the context stays with the record:

  • Time adjustments show the admin's note and who made the change, on the staff member's timesheet.
  • Rate History (Payments → By Shop) shows every pay-rate change with who, when, and why.
  • Time Off keeps the history of leave requests and approvals/rejections.
  • AI Agent actions are recorded with the confirmation details for each shift it creates.

Good to know

  • Changes are recorded with the responsible user and a timestamp.
  • All logs are stored in Australia — they never leave the country.
